Well my friend is 14. I would consider her to be one of my best friend's. When i first met her at the beginning of the year she was innocent and smart. I have to wonder why final disability claims are handled by bureaucrats, such as Administrative Law Judges. It may sound stupid but I believe that the question, of whether a person is disabled should be left to doctors, who work in cooperation with groups which work with disabled people, on a daily basis. It IS true that mental disabilities are harder to judge, than physical ones, but I have to believe that people, such as therapists, are much better qualified to judge disability than bureaucrats. So, I guess that the main question is: Why do we put up with this system?

Is time to retain legal council for my parents?

My father is disabled, has not worked in 5 years. My mother recently had to retire to stay home and care for my father, because he requires 24/7 attention. Their sole source of income (SS Disability) was abruptly canceled 3 months ago, because SS determined they overpayed my father many years ago, when he was able to work. My parents have done everything by the book in regards to reporting income, when he was able to work. Due to SS error in paying my father years ago- they have had to use every dime of their savings to survive, and there is no end in sight to this mess. Currently my siblings and I are sending money to ensure they have what they need (food, house payment, medication, etc...) but I feel we need to do more, than just wait on the government to "make the decision, to reinstate their benefits". Any advise?

I have this red rash on the underside of my arm and it feels very warm ....?

About two days ago, I saw a mosquito bite on the underside of my arm, about halfways, so I just forgot about it. The next day it had grown like 100% in size and it's like this reddish-pinkish color and when you touch it it's very warm. i don't know what it is and I'm freaked out. I don't have shingles or allergies since it would have come up earlier. Any suggestion on what it could be? Wow... I would not recommend Japan if you don't know anything about Japanese culture. There are so many things you have to know about before living there. For one, it's rude to blow your nose in public. If you don't slurp noodles loudly while you're eating, you're being impolite. There are many different ways of speaking Japanese (You would have to learn some Japanese if you were to live there, right?), depending on who you're talking to. Putting soy sauce or anything else on your white rice and leaving your chopsticks in the bowl is also rude. These are just a few of the general manners people have... Ok. So I saw my older cousins for the first time in a while back in December. They are out of college but still somewhere in their 20's and I am 12. Back then I was 11. They are both boys and I am a girl. I was so exited to see them that I didn't think I could stand the wait. They had always been basically my favorite cousins. I never understood it but I knew that it would be my nickname forever, and I loved it. But when I got there he surprised me with a hi and using my full name. No nickname. Plus instead of a big bear hug like normal he offered me a simple handshake. From there the only thing like old times was a wasabi eating contest with Ben and I. I didn't blame my other cousin Dan quite as much since he shunned everyone exept his girlfriend unless they were talking to him about the house the two of them were planning on buying. But Ben basically ignored me exepet the wasabi eating contest. We used to almost have to be seperated at the table because we would knock the whole thing over with our games. Now we were hardly even talking. He only talked to the adults. I just stood in the corner for most of the get together. My mom says that it's just because they're young adults now and I realize that but I really miss the old Ben and Dan. We might see them again soon and I don't know what to do. I just want them to be their old selves with me. It seems like the only older cousins I had that acnowledged me and almost treated me like an equal were taken away and it was like my other older cousins. I was the cute little girl that everyone thought was cute but didn't understand anything. I kinda want to be mad but I know that I'm really just hurt. Are you good at lucid dreaming? What are some of your techniques to induce it and control your dream world?

I've read books on lucid dreaming and understand some of the basics. I've gotten to the point where I know the time of night I am most likely to fall into a lucid dream and I have been able to exercise a little bit of control. But it becomes a very delicate balancing act and I want to get better at it. For me, it's like watching fuzzy static on TV when I'm not quite dreaming yet. Then people and images materialize like a program just came on. I get excited because I recognize it as a lucid dream, and it feels like the air is heavy wth electricity because I know "magic" is in the air. But then I am only partially able to control my characters and I worry about slipping out of lucidity where the fuzzy screen reappears. How can I better control this and induce lucidity more often? I know that thinking about it during differet times of day will help plant suggestions in my subconscious. What other techniques would you recommend if you are skilled or knowledgable in lucid dreaming

I had my second child feb 15 2008 and in march of that month I got my very 1st depo shot. I had never been on it before so I thought I'd try it. I'd still get my peroids like clockwork (they've always been very consistant and on time) but after 3 months my periods never came back and I also didn't get the next depo shot. Apartments and Credit Checks?

This would be considered my first apartment, and I am looking for ways to make it easier for me since I dont have much of a credit history. Last night, I was so bummed because I found a perfect house/apartment with 2 bedrooms for the four of us, and she wanted to run credit checks on all of us. We all have less than perfect credit and I explained that to her. Is there anyway that I could comprise with a landlord/owner so that she will wavier a credit check and trust that we will pay her the rent when it is due and all of the other bills? Ok, so I have always had a little bit of a problem with keeping my lips intact. But it was easy because I developed a habit of putting on lip balm so much that my friends called me Chap Stick Girl. Then I left my lip balm in my jeans once, and now my lips are disgusting. They are cracked, bleeding and really red. And I have this (this is nasty ) slab of dry, dead skin on my top lip. It depends on the band and the similar sound in each song. For instance, I love Behemoth, especially their album Demigod. Most of the songs are between 3 and 4 minutes, and are basically "PUMMELING RIFF, DOUBLE B, RARGH!" but I love the whole sound, so it's alright for me. I'm not a big fan of Reign In Blood, though. So long story as short as I can put it, I met this guy, Jordan (so there isn't any confusion), when I first came to college. after a few days of talking and getting to know him I started to develop feelings for him. We started dating late October and our relationship was great except for the fact that we were secret about it cause we didn't want my mom to know cause she would have blamed him for my grades and I didn't want that to happen. In late February we had a stupid argument and he had told me to leave him alone so I did. That next week he just stopped talking to me and removed me from his friends list on facebook which made me realize that I really screwed up this time. I had sent him a letter before I found out he didn't want to be my friend anymore and I found out from one of my friends that he had read it but didn't let anyone else read it because he told them it was between me and him. Its been a little over a month now since I haven't talked to him and I don't know what to do. 31 have to have a hysterectomy afraid of hormone therapy advice anyone?

i'm 31 years old i have chronic endometriosis, literally two or three times a month i would develop a huge ovarian cyst and have to go to the e.r. because the pain was so bad. i have no health insurance but there is a clinic i go to. they have given me 6 surgeries for endometriosis, it keeps coming back. i could never stick with any birth control or drugs like Lupron especially i got suicidal, literally. i have major depression so those are not good drugs for me. however two weeks ago i had another surgery the plan was to take out my left ovarian tube and my left ovary...but when they got in there they saw that my right ovary was just as diseased and both of them are so inlargeed from scar tissue and blood vessels attatched to them they have to go in again and make an incision, not just doing it the laporascopic way. they are doing a hysterectomy. here's my question, i already have depression and knowing for a fact that i cannot have children has been very hard for me, i want children more than anything. adoption is fine but realistically i dont know if i can ever afford it. but, i am sooo afraid of being more depressed because with both ovaries out i will have no choice but to have to take some kind of hormone replacement therapy treatment. any advice on certain ones that are good? i take prozac and klonipin and that just barely helps my depression now. any help would be appreciated, thanks guys

maybe you could do both. like i heard pianos have strings in them. so hook the strings up to your guitar. then when you strum the string it plays the piano. you could call it the guitar piano. i would do this myself but as i have no arms it is very difficult to strum the guitar strings. if i had enough money i would buy a replacement set of arms, but i think the only viable way to get money is through guitar piano. you can see the conundrum, of course.

Pregnancy sugar screening test question?

I had my gestational diabetes test done and they called about the results telling me to call back and of course I didn't get the message until today after hours and now I have to wait until Monday... ugggg! what does this mean could the results come back bellow normal or always high? I've always been on the low side in regards to blood sugar, I exercise daily and I don't think I eat bad. I'm 7 months and gained 14 pounds which I didn't think was to bad. I'm dying to know what the outcome was. Is sugar the only thing they're testing for, they did take a lot of blood. This is my 2nd pregnancy and the first one was easy breezy and I lost all the weight before I got prego again. This has been a harder pregnancy this last month I've had a lot of lower stomach pain (like bad side stickers) and off and on a lot of pelvic pressure.

In my Algebra cl, the professor plays instrumental music including some jazz, piano, and things of that sort. The great thing about it is that it has no words; it helps me concentrate on my work and makes the two hour cl great. The music isn't sad but relatively happy without getting unnecessarily fast. Hi i've consolidated my student loans which is around $23,000.00 and today i got the statement from the consolidater giving me the whole amt i need to pay off in 20yr s with their payment schedule. With their payment schedule, i'll be paying off arnd $43,000.00 with interest, principles with a payment of $180.00 every month for the next 20 yrs. When my dad happened to see the statement he said he'll help me out w/ my student loans and if i go w/ the consolidation payment plan i'm paying the extra $20,000.00 which i dont even owe in student payments to them for no reason and that additional $20,000 i'm paying em is just money down the drain. He wants to me call them and tell them i've changed my mind and not decided to proceed w/ the repayment plans and looking for alternative ways to pay off my loans.
