It sounds to me that your love for him may be displaced. Real love doesn't come with strings attached. Marriage is a partnership and it takes so much more than love to make one work. If you were genuinely his friend you would understand and respect how and why he feels the way he does. If your feelings for him were/are true it should not matter if he was sincere as long as you know that you were. If he can just stop talking to you and not feel bad then you and he are not on the same page, you are so young, so try to be a good friend to him and if you become someone he can not live without, then he will do what you want. Get yourself together and give the emotional part of your relationship with this man time to get where you want it to go.
