Turn signal indicators silent. Turn signals work and are on but there is no noise.?

Ok so my girlfriend just had some body work done to her 2009 cobalt. the side was scd by someone backing up and she had to have a door replaced. When she drove it to the body shop it worked fine but when she got it back the turn signal chime doesnt work anymore. The lights work and the signals come on but there is no noise. I know alot about cars and do my own mechanic work but ive never seen or even heard of this happening. Whats wrongs. Its a 2009 Cobalt LT.
