If I have brown hair with blonde highlights will my hair have different shades if I dye it Burgundy?

Yes. The lighter colors will turn out a lighter shade of red. I've seen it done before, it's actually really pretty. Everyone's hair is different though, and I don't know what it looks like when it fades.
